Terms of Service

Who We Are

Pippa is made by Hearthril, Inc., a Delawarecorporation ("Pippa," "we," "us," or "our"). These terms cover the Pippa app at app.gopippa.ai, our website at gopippa.ai, and the Pippa apps for iPhone, iPad, and Android.

By creating an account or using Pippa, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Pippa.

The Short Version

The full terms are below. These are the promises that matter most, and nothing further down takes them back:

  • You own your stories, your characters, and everything you make with Pippa. We claim no ownership.
  • We only use your content to run Pippa for you.
  • We never use your characters or content in our marketing without your written permission.
  • You can publish and sell what you make anywhere, and you keep 100% of the money.
  • We do not train AI models on your content, and we do not give it to anyone else to train on.

Who Can Use Pippa

You must be at least 18 years old to create or use a Pippa account. Pippa is built for adults (parents, grandparents, teachers, and creators) who make stories and videos, often for children. People under 18 may not create or use an account.

If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we freeze it at once: it can no longer create anything new or make purchases. We cancel a plan bought on our website straight away, and we refund what has not been used: the unused part of the latest payment for the plan, and the unspent coins of any Pippa Coin pack bought in the last 30 days. Coins and plan time already used are not refunded. Thirty days after the freeze, we permanently delete the account and everything in it. Until then, the person can still sign in and download their work.

A plan bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play can only be refunded by Apple or Google. If they say no, email support@gopippa.ai and we will make it right. If your account was frozen by mistake, email support@gopippa.ai before the 30 days are up and we will unfreeze it and cancel the deletion. If we learn that an account belongs to a child under 13, we delete it as soon as we have confirmed it.

If you make content that features a child (for example, their name, photo, or voice), you confirm that you are that child's parent or legal guardian, or that you have their parent or guardian's permission.

Your Account

Please give us accurate information when you sign up and keep your login details safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Each person may have one account. If you think someone else has got into your account, email us right away at support@gopippa.ai.

What You Own

Everything you make is yours

You own the stories, characters, photos, drawings, voice recordings, and anything else you bring to Pippa. You also own what Pippa makes for you from them: the images, videos, audio, and books. Pippa claims no ownership of any of it.

The law on who can hold a copyright in AI-made material is still developing and differs from country to country. Whatever rights exist in what you make, they belong to you, not to us. Because AI can produce similar results for different people, another user may sometimes get something that looks like yours.

What we are allowed to do with it

To make your videos and books, we have to store your content, process it, and send it to the companies that do the drawing, animating, and voice work for us. You give us permission to do exactly that, and only that: to run Pippa for you. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for anything you chose to share publicly, which stays up until you take it down.

No marketing without your written permission

We will never use your characters, stories, videos, photos, or voice in our advertising, social media, website, or any other promotion unless you have given us your explicit written permission first. Your content is only seen by other people if you share it publicly yourself, for example by posting it to the Explore gallery or publishing it to YouTube or social media.

Publish it, sell it, keep the money

You may publish, share, and make money from what you make with Pippa, anywhere you like: YouTube, social media, your own website, printed books, or a business you run. You keep 100% of whatever you earn. Pippa takes no cut and needs no credit. The free plan adds a Pippa watermark to exported videos; paid plans let you export without it.

No AI training on your content

We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not sell or give it to anyone for training. Our Privacy Policy explains which AI companies process your content to make your videos, and what their business terms say about training.

Content you bring in

Only upload things you have the right to use. If you upload someone else's photo, voice, artwork, or writing, you are confirming that you have their permission. You are responsible for reviewing what Pippa makes before you share or publish it; AI can sometimes produce unexpected or inaccurate results.

Artist style packs

Some art styles in Pippa are made by independent artists. The style pack itself stays the property of the artist who made it. When you use an artist's style pack, the videos and images you make with it are yours to use just like anything else you make in Pippa, but you do not get ownership of the style pack.

Pippa's own property

The Pippa app, website, software, design, name, and logos belong to Hearthril, Inc.. These terms do not give you the right to use our name or logos.

Children's Content

Many people use Pippa to make stories for and about children. When your content features a real child, you agree that:

  • You are that child's parent or legal guardian, or have their permission
  • You are responsible for what you create and whether it is right for its audience
  • If you share it publicly, in the Explore gallery or on outside platforms like YouTube or social media, you are responsible for that choice
  • Pippa is not responsible for what other people do with content you have made public

We may remove any content we believe is harmful, exploitative, or against these terms, especially content involving children.

Acceptable Use

You may not use Pippa to:

  • Make sexual, violent, hateful, harassing, or otherwise harmful content, and never anything that exploits or endangers a child
  • Pretend to be someone else, or make realistic fakes of a real person without their permission
  • Break any law, including children's privacy laws (such as COPPA), data protection laws (such as GDPR), and copyright or trademark law
  • Send spam, spread malware, or trick people into giving up information
  • Copy, take apart, scrape, or interfere with Pippa or the systems it runs on
  • Get around usage limits, coin balances, or access controls
  • Resell or share access to Pippa without our permission

If you break these rules, we may remove content and suspend or close your account, in serious cases without warning.

Plans, Payments, and Pippa Coins

Pippa has a free plan and paid plans. Paid plans renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. Payments on the web are handled by Stripe. If you subscribe inside the iPhone or Android app, Apple or Google handles the payment under their own terms, and you manage or cancel that subscription through them.

  • You can cancel any time from your account settings or the billing page. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for.
  • If you start a free trial, it becomes a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel before then.
  • Refunds are decided case by case. Email support@gopippa.ai and we will look at it. An account frozen because its holder is under 18 is refunded as described in Who Can Use Pippa.
  • Pippa Coins are what you spend to make things in Pippa. They have no cash value and cannot be refunded (except as described in Who Can Use Pippa), sold, or moved to another account.
  • We will give existing subscribers at least 30 days' notice before changing the price of their plan.

Printed Books

Printed books are made and shipped by our print partner, Lulu Press. When you order a book, Lulu's printing and shipping terms also apply. We will help if something goes wrong, but we are not responsible for printing quality, shipping delays, or lost packages once the order is with Lulu.

Other Services

Pippa relies on other companies to draw, animate, voice, store, and deliver your work. Our Privacy Policylists them. If you connect an outside account, such as YouTube or TikTok, to publish directly from Pippa, that platform's own rules apply to what you post there.

When Things Go Wrong

We work hard to keep Pippa running, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. Much of the drawing and animating is done by other companies, who sometimes have outages, slowdowns, or changes in quality. Features may change over time.

Pippa is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of Pippa. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Closing Your Account

You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. You then have 30 days to change your mind. After 30 days, your account and everything in it is permanently deleted. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what is deleted and when.

An account frozen because its holder is under 18 is deleted 30 days after the freeze, as described in Who Can Use Pippa. Only our support team can stop that deletion.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we close your account for any reason other than a serious violation, we will tell you first and give you a reasonable chance to download your work.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If a change matters, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using Pippa after that, the new terms apply. We will never use a change to these terms to take back ownership of anything you have already made.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
